Watching a launch
A few things worth knowing
- Night and twilight launches can be seen across the valley when the sky is clear.
- Coastal fog can hide a launch even when town is clear, so have a backup plan.
- Roads near the base can close around a launch. Follow posted signs, and never stop on a highway shoulder to watch.

Vandenberg hosts launches and programs by companies including SpaceX, United Launch Alliance, Firefly Aerospace and Northrop Grumman, alongside U.S. Space Force operations and the many contractors and suppliers who support them.
